The Dai non-profit organizations are entities created by the Dai Council for the purpose of facilitating social, economic development, and governance infrastructure for the Dai people to utilize and operate thereby. The vast majority of these organizations were nonprofits that provide services as part of their mission to the Dai people. With the conversion of the Kingdom to a 501(d) to a community, many of the planned projects are now either absorbed into the community’s operations, reformatted, or have been shelved until further notice.
